Crown of Luna is a narrative based game made by students at High Point University as their final submission to GAM 3302 Narrative and Interactive Fiction.

Words of advice from the devs:

1. Upon pressing play, in the bottom right of your screen is a full-screen button added by Itch.io. It is highly recommended to play in full-screen mode.

2. In the bottom left of your in-game screen, the "Menu" button can open up the inventory, quest log, and the achievements list.

3. The "System" button allows audio, text font, and text appearance/auto display settings you can customize to your liking.

4. This game was written and the audio was created by the team themselves. Due to lack of artists and this being a game project for a class, perchance.org was used to generate all artwork used in this game.

Known Bugs:

1. Making a save during the intro to the game is known to cause a game breaking error when trying to load said save.

2. Losing all health does not kill the player as intended.

3. Bosses have rarely not recognized their deaths leading towards a hard lock on progression.

Content in game currently:

Over 10,000 words!

Act 1:

  1. Cave Exploration/Maze Exploration assistance
  2. The Worm in Waiting encounter. (3 unique variations leading into this encounter totaling 4000 words in total. Need to replay and choose other options to see full writing possibilities.)
  3. Abandoned Hut Investigation (Begins Act 2's "A Horrible Night To Have A Curse" quest early.)
  4. Boss Battle to round out act with an important narrative-changing decision.

Act 2:

  1. Town Exploration including the Flaming Pitchfork tavern, the Shelley Manor, Altrop City Center, and the outer farming areas.
  2. Four NPC's to interact with within the town not tied to any quest.
  3. "A Horrible Night To Have A Curse" and it's two separate versions based on narrative choice at end of Act 1. (Over 2500 words from Andrew!)
  4. Fae Civil War Side Quest from Sally.
  5. Break-in of Shelley Manor (Main Quest by Brett)
  6. Act 2 Endings (The ending moments/boss is known to be very buggy not unlike Act 1's final boss.)
